Clarence "Rawhide" Allen

SAVANNAH – Clarence "Rawhide" Allen, 69, died at Memorial Health University Medical Center on Tuesday, May 19, 2009.
The Eastman, GA native had lived in Savannah for the past fifty years.
He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and a member of Bible Baptist Church. Mr. Allen retired from CSX Railroad and was a tree surgeon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon Jackson and Nellie Cain Allen and a brother, Edison Allen.
Surviving are his wife, Deanna Allen of Savannah; three daughters, Jeanne Hotaling Sean of Ft. Leavenworth, KS, Lee Motley Rick of Ft. Bliss, TX, and Tammy Allen of Savannah; four brothers, Furman Allen Judy of Eastman, Caulion Allen Gloria of Warner Robins, GA, Carson Allen Carolyn of Woodbine, GA, and Teron Allen Dee Dee of Eastman; two sisters, Crystal McHan of Mineral Bluff, GA and Nylan Hinson of Eastman; four grandchildren, Tyler Allen, Courtney Perry, Kathryn Motley, and Richard Motley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday at Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, Hodgson Chapel.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 am on Saturday, May 23, 2009, at Bible Baptist Church with Rev. Herbert Hubbard and Rev. Tommy East officiating.
Interment will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West.
